translingua breezes through re-certification audit

translingua has been working under the strict guidelines of Austria’s translations standard EN 15038 for the past two years. Plenty of time, then, to monitor and further improve the standardised in-house processes with regard to their everyday usefulness. ‘ÖNORM EN 15038 certification is extremely important to us,’ emphasised Dr. Brigitte Meßner, managing partner of translingua. ‘Not only does it create an important basis of trust for our customers, it also forces us to constantly rethink and optimise our in-house work processes. And that in turn means our customers benefit from even greater quality.’
Due diligence criteria met with flying colours In keeping with certification regulations translingua underwent the re-audit, which is due every two years, in May of this year. Once again, in-house work processes and the project management system in particular came under careful scrutiny. After an extensive audit Mr Mohamed-Ali Ibrahim gave translingua the green light on behalf of the Austrian Standards Institute, commenting: ‘translingua is one of the first Austrian translation agencies to have undergone the re-audit. We’re pleased that translingua continues to deliver excellent work in compliance with the stipulated criteria.’ As a result, translingua is entitled to bear Austria’s EN 15038 quality seal for a further two years.
Clear quality guidelines, even more checks For customers, certification under ÖNORM EN 15038 means even greater quality: for each assignment the translation agency has undertaken to carefully select its translators, to adhere to clearly defined style guides and to carry out stringent checks on the translated text in line with the ‘four-eyes’ principle. In this regard perfectly thought-through project management plays just as important a role as the on-going checks and controls which have been built into the system.
